The Center for Disability Services offers hope, innovation and achievement to the people we support.

For 80 years, we have been one of upstate New York’s largest providers of programs and services for individuals who have disabilities. Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere.

We are recruiting for a Registered and Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) to join our clinical team. This position will be at our Cloverpatch Preschool located in Albany N.Y. This is a School calendar position, with a 6 week summer session. We are known for our quality of care for individuals with disabilities, which is at the heart of our mission.

As an occupational therapist at the Center for Disability Services, you will collaborate with physicians, family and/or treatment teams to evaluate functional strengths and needs in order to establish individualized, meaningful and appropriate therapy for the individuals we support.

Responsibilities include:

• Contributes to the mission of the Center, Clinical Department and assigned School programs

• Works collaboratively with program directors and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality, state-of-the-art, cost effective services to all students served and their families

  The compensation for this position is $31.88-$35.05 an hour. Commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

• NYS Licensure and registration to practice Occupational Therapy

• Professional experience working with children and/or young adults with developmental, physical, neurological disorders and individuals with Autistic Spectrum Disorders is preferred.

• Professional experience providing Occupational Therapy Services in a school based setting is preferred.

• Less than 1 year job related experience required.

• Must be at least 18 years old to apply for this position. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
